Supporting Folks with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

This training will teach participants about OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and the struggles that may accompany this diagnosis. Folks with OCD fall under the neurodivergent umbrella. Whether you are working with client with OCD or loved ones, this presentation will help you understand what OCD is and how to be culturally competent. Meet the Presenter:

Nova Zeldin (they), MA, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in neurodivergent affirming care and providing a safer space for LGBTQ+ individuals. Utilizing a client-centered and systemic approach, Nova creates a safe and supportive space for you to navigate the many influences in clients’ life. They adapt treatment approaches to each client using a variety of techniques. Nova believes that we can all discover our own resilience. In addition to long-term therapeutic services, Nova offers assessments and letter writing for affirming surgeries for trans, non binary, and many more non cis individuals.

They are a consultant and supervisor using a justice-oriented approach. They have given workshops on numerous topics including understanding neurodivergence, cultural humility, and supporting Transgender community members.
